I actually thought I knew what walking by faith was. But the uncertainty surrounding the teaching industry, with the lack of jobs and future prospects to a large extent outwith my control, has shown me that I never really understood walking by faith until I really have had to walk by faith.
God, however, is good and knows what we need in life before we even ask. Someone recently asked me what my job prospects were. I replied that they were not great, but having said that neither was Peter's yet he managed, if only briefly, to walk on water until he took his eyes off Jesus. Lord help us to keep our eyes on you the author and finisher of our faith.

Changed Days
I cannot believe that my oldest daughter, Jemma Rose, is actually going to Aberdeen University in September to train to become a teacher like myself. Quite scarey to think that only 4 years ago I was still at sea, and she was still a 2nd Year Fraserburgh Academy pupil. Exciting, yet challenging times ahead for us all.
